Ken Halpin rejoined EWU as the Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs in December of 2012 following a brief departure into the financial industry.

Prior to this departure, Halpin served as the KP Sports Senior Accounts Representative, generating revenue for the EWU Athletic Department through corporate sponsorships. In his current role, Halpin oversees the strategic management of each of the Athletic Department’s external facets and revenue generating efforts for EWU.

Prior to his time at Eastern, Halpin served as the Business Manager at the Community Colleges of Spokane. His responsibilities included oversight of events, facilities, purchasing and daily operations.

Halpin obtained an M.A. in Sport Administration from Gonzaga University in 2006, where he currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor in the Sport Management program. He earned his B.A. from Willamette University in 2005, where he was an All-Conference performer in both football and baseball.

Halpin lives in Cheney with his wife, Amber, and two sons, Kenny and Jonathan. He loves to ski in the winter and is currently a doctoral candidate at Washington State University.
