Another packed crowd of Eastern Washington University football fans are expected for this week's Watch Party at the Q Sports Bar & Restaurant at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino, including the eight finalists in a hot wings eating contest.

This week's party starts at noon Pacific time as the 21st-ranked Eagles play at third-ranked Montana in a Big Sky Conference showdown in Missoula, Mont. Interested fans can guarantee themselves a seat by calling the Q at 509-242-7000.

Other watch parties at the Q will be Oct. 31 versus Portland State (1 p.m.) and Nov. 21 versus Northern Arizona (2 p.m.). Prizes and drink specials will be part of each watch party, including $2 pint specials this week.

Preliminary rounds for the "Quest to Qwest Eagle Hot Wings Eating Contest" took place on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. The winning prize for the individual champion are two VIP suite tickets to the EWU versus Portland State game at Qwest Field in Seattle on Oct. 31, as well as round-trip airfare for two from Spokane to Seattle.

The eight finalists are Jacob Haine, Bryan Cook, Albert Pjosek, Richard Terzieff, Michael Noel, Andrew Northrop, Jared Rose and Corey Turnbul.

Eastern Athletics ticket manager Troy Kirby reports that chefs at Northern Quest are trying to obtain famous "Ghost Pepper" to use on this week's wings, making them hotter than ever.
