Basketball Coaches Shows Begin Tuesday and Football Continues Tonight

Today’s football show takes place at Northern Quest and tomorrow’s basketball show is at the Swinging Doors

Eastern Washington University Coaches Shows on 700 ESPN will take place both today (Nov. 25) and Tuesday (Nov. 26) this week and will feature head men’s basketball coach Jim Hayford in addition to head football coach Beau Baldwin. The public is invited to attend the live shows, which begin at 6 p.m. and are hosted by veteran Eastern announcer Larry Weir.

Starting tomorrow, Coaches Shows featuring Hayford and Weir will also take place on Tuesdays at the Swinging Doors in North Spokane. The Eastern men’s basketball team is off to a 4-2 start under Hayford, after not picking up its fourth win of the season last year until Jan. 10.

The basketball shows will continue on Tuesdays through Jan. 7 (no shows Dec. 24 and Dec. 31), then will resume weekly on Mondays starting Jan. 13 (no shows on Jan. 27 and Feb. 24 because of EWU basketball games those nights). The Swinging Doors is located at W. 1018 Francis in North Spokane.

Today’s show takes place in “Studio E” at Epic at Northern Quest Casino and Resort, and also include a pre-show video session with Coach Baldwin at 5:30 p.m. A show will also take place for sure on Dec. 2, however, it will take place on campus and not at Northern Quest, therefore, no video will be shown.

The shows return to NQ on Dec. 9, with video from Baldwin at 5:30 p.m., and they will continue until the end of the season for EWU, which opens the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs on Dec. 7 at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash.
