Al Manuel Northwest Dual ScheduleStanford Invitational ScheduleThe Eastern Washington University track and field teams will return to action this Friday (April 1) and Saturday (April 2) in their first meets since competing in the Whitworth Buc Scoring (March 17-18).
A dozen athletes who met meet qualifying standards will head to the Stanford Invitational, hosted by Stanford at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif.
Friday's running events start at 10:42 a.m. with the men's 5,000 meters while field events start at 9 a.m. with the men's javelin. Saturday's collegiate running events start at 1:02 p.m. with the women's 4x100 meter relay and collegiate field events start at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw.
Athletes who will compete at the Stanford Invite include

The remaining athletes will compete at the Al Manuel Northwest Dual Meet, competing against fellow Big Sky Conference schools Montana State, Idaho, and meet host Montana. The meet takes place in Missoula, Mont., at Dornblaser Field.
Friday's events begin at 3 p.m. with the women's hammer throw and finish with the men's hammer throw starting at 4:45 p.m. Saturday's field events begin at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin and running events begin at noon with the women's steeplechase.

Kaytlyn Coleman put together a personal-best mark of 189-7 to lead a 1-2-3 sweep for the Eagles in the hammer throw at the Whitworth Buc Scoring Invite (March 17-18). She assumed the top spot on the Big Sky performance lists with that toss and ranks 30th nationally. Coleman picked up her fourth Big Sky Athlete of the Week honor this academic year, having claimed three during the indoor season.
* The men's track and field team was ranked 54
th by Track and Field News for collegiate recruiting classes for the indoor season. In order to be ranked, each team must have at least one freshman in the top fifty in at least one event.
* The men's team was ranked seventh in the Big Sky coaches' preseason poll with 74 points, while the women's team was ranked second with one first place vote and 124 points.
