Meet Information
The Eastern Washington University track and field teams travel to the University of Idaho for the second time this year to compete in the Idaho Duals this Friday (Feb. 2).
Field events are set to begin at 9 a.m. Pacific Time in the Kibbie Dome with the running events following at 11:30 a.m.
"We are looking forward to the meet and the chance for another opportunity to improve marks," women's head coach
Marcia Mecklenburg said. "We are three weeks out from the Indoor Big Sky Conference Championships so it will be good to see where we stack up against Montana, Portland State, and Idaho."
"The meet features several Big Sky Champions from EWU, Idaho and Montana," men's head coach
Stan Kerr said. "It's a definite wow for every athlete in this meet knowing they'll be part of a competition in which their talents will be tested."
After this competition, the Eagles travel to Seattle, Wash., on Feb. 9-10 before heading to the 2018 Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships presented by Red Lion Hotels Corporation on Feb. 22-24 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Last Time Out
At the UW Invitational last weekend (Jan. 26-27), sophomore
Keshun McGee placed second with a new personal-best mark of 51-4 1/2 in the triple jump to put him 18th in the nation and lead the Big Sky. This performance puts him in second on EWU's all-time list, inching closer to the 53-5 1/2 record by Kurt Kraemer from 2001. McGee also took second in the long jump with a mark of 23-11 1/2.

Freshman
Joe Gauthier finished sixth in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 6.96. Junior
Parker Bowden ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.19, taking home sixth.

On the women's side, junior
Samantha Raines placed seventh in the pole vault with a clearance of 12-4 3/4. Freshman
Alexis Rolan finished seventh in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 7.66. Rolan also went on to take sixth in the long jump with a mark of 18-7 3/4.

Sophomore
Carli Corpus led the Eagles in the 3,000 meters with a finishing time of 10:00.52, placing 44th. The time puts her ninth on EWU's all-time list with
Sarah Reiter owning the record from 2016 with 9:39.10.
