2009 Cross Country: While running for Grand Valley State, Kolin placed 26th at the Division II National Cross Country Championships her junior year, recording a time of 21:39.5 on a 6,000-meter course. She placed 54th (23:07.0) in the event her sophomore year.

2010 Track: Kolin placed 18th in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Division II Championships her junior year, recording a time of 17:33.13. Her best time in the event came at the Mt. Sac Relays as she had a time of 16:46.01, a time fast enough to place her third on EWU’s All-Time Outdoor Best list.
