2009 Cross Country- King was EWU’s top finisher during the ’09 season as he placed 18th at the Big Sky Cross Country Conference Championships in Greely, Colo., where he ran a time of 26:51.7 to help the Eagle men clinch a fifth-place finish. He later ran in the NCAA West Regional Championships in Eugene, Ore., where he finished 120th with a time of 33:38.29.
2009-10 - Indoor: King placed fourth in the 3000 meters at the conference championship, clocking a season-best time of 8:27.23. He placed eighth in the 5,000 meters at conference, running the race in 15:04.84. His best time in the event was 14:19.81, which he ran at the UW Husky Classic. This performance earned him a third-place spot on EWU’s all-time best list. Outdoor: King was Eastern’s top distance runner, breaking the school record in the 10,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational, where he clocked a time of 29:34.21. King placed 14th at the conference championships in the 5,000 (15:45.04) then placed 40th at the NCAA Division I West Regional meet in the 10,000 (32:43.24).
2008-09 - Outdoors, King finished 12th in the 10,000 meters (32:26.72) and 14th in the 5,000 meters (15:53.00) at the Big Sky Conference Championships. His best 5,000 meters came at the 51st Annual Mt. Sac Relays with a time of 14:52.74 and his best 1,500 came at the 38th Annual Pelluer Invitational with a time of 4:00.77. Redshirted the 2009 indoor season. He was named Big Sky All-Academic outdoors.
2008 Cross Country - King finished 15th at the Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championships with a time of 24:34.1 on the 8,000 meter course. He went on to finish 157th at the NCAA West Regionals with a time of 33:52.44 in the 10,000 meters. He was named Big Sky All-Academic for cross country.
High School - King finished first in the 3,200 meters (9:43.24) and second in the 1,600 meters (2:23.10) at the WIAA State 1A Championships. He also competed in the 800 where he finished second in the conference with a personal-best time of 1:58.62. His personal bests are in the 1,600 (2:20.06) and 3,200 (9:13.67). As a senior, King won the East/West Senior All-Star race in the 5,000 meters out of 51 athletes. He competed in cross country at Oak Harbor High School where he finished 11th at State in the 5,000 meters.
