2009-10 - Indoor: After transferring from a long-distance runner, Matthews competed in the 400 meters (1:01.81), the 800 meters (2:20.14) and the mile (5:38.07). She ran a leg on the 4,000-meter Distance Medley Relay at the conference championships along with Michelle Coombs, Kelly Downey and Brittney Williams, in which they placed sixth, clocking a time of 12:38.12. Outdoor: Utilized redshirt season.

2009 Cross Country: Matthews finished 61st at the Big Sky Conference Championships on the 5,000-meter course with a time of 23:02.5.

2008-09: Outdoors at the Albertsons Meet, Matthews had her best time in the 800 meters of 2:19.39. Her best 400 meters was at the Al Manuel Invitational with a time of 1:01.02. Indoors, her best 800 came at the UW Indoor Preview with a time of 2:21.66. She was named Big Sky All-Academic both indoors and outdoors.

2008 Cross Country:  Matthews finished 57th at the Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championships with a time of 19:43.7 in the 5,000 meters. Matthews was Big Sky All-Academic for cross country.

2007-08: Outdoors, Matthews finished 14th at the Big Sky Conference Championships in the 800 with a time of 2:22.63. Her best 800 came at the Bronco Twilight with a season-best time of 2:19.01. Indoors, her best 400 came at the Husky Classic with a time of 59.09 and her best 200 came at the McDonald’s Collegiate with a time of 27.11. Matthews was Big Sky All-Academic indoors and outdoors.
