2011-12: Indoor: Anderson won the shot put at the UW Indoor Preview with an indoor personal-best toss of 52-4 1/2. He placed sixth at the BSC Indoor Championships with a throw of 51-1 3/4. Outdoor: He achieved his personal-best in the discus at the Pelluer Invite with a throw of 153-4 to finish fifth. Anderson finished sixth at the BSC Outdoor Championships in the shot put with a season-best throw of 52-4 3/4. He was selected to the winter and spring Big Sky All-Academic teams.

2010-11: Indoor: He placed 10th at the BSC Indoor Championships in the shot put with a toss of 50-4 1/2. Anderson had a season-best of 50-10 3/4 in the shot put at the Bronco Open, where he placed third. He also had a season-best of 41-11 1/2 in the weight throw at the Candy Cane Invite. Outdoor: At the BSC Outdoor Championships, Anderson placed 10th in the shot put with a throw of 50-10 3/4. He had a personal-best throw of 52-5 1/4 at the Oregon Relays, placing third. His season-best in the discus of 146-9 was also at the Oregon Relays. He was selected to the winter Big Sky All-Academic team.

2009-10: Indoor: Anderson had season-best throws in the shot put (50-10) and the weight throw (44-0) at the Idaho Vandal Collegiate meet. He placed 13th at the BSC Indoor Championships in the shot put with a throw of 49-3. Outdoor: Anderson placed 10th in the shot put at the BSC Outdoor Championships, throwing a season best of 50-8. His farthest throw in the discus was 145-10 to place him sixth at the Al Manuel Invitational. His best throw in the hammer was 115-0 at the Dusty Lane Open. He was selected to the spring Big Sky All-Academic team.

High School: Anderson won both the discus and shot put at the 2009 WIAA State 4A Championships. He had a personal-best throw of 59-4 3/4 with his winning effort. He finished first in both the discus (168-3) and the shot put (56-9 1/2) at the 4A District 1 Championships as a senior. As a junior, he finished third in the shot put with a mark of 54-2 1/4 and fourth in the discus with a mark of 157-2 at the 2008 WIAA 4A Championships. He had a career best of 168-10 in the discus.

Personal: Criminal Justice major. Born 12/6/90 in Edmonds, Wash. His father, Bruce Anderson, is the current outdoor shot put record holder at Eastern (60-10 1/2, set in 1983). His mother is Susan Anderson.
