2011-12: Indoor: Olsson’s season best in the 400 came at the UW Husky Classic, where he ran 50.58 to place 30th overall. He ran the leadoff leg on the 4x400 relay team that took first at the UW Indoor Preview with a time of 3:18.27. Outdoor: He ran his outdoor season best of 50.76 in the 400 at the Montana Al Manuel Invite, placing seventh. He also ran on the 4x400 relay that placed first at the Al Manuel Invite with a time of 3:18.3. He was selected to the winter and spring Big Sky All-Academic teams.

2010-11: Indoor: Olsson ran his personal-best time of 49.41 in the 400 at the Bronco Open, placing first in his heat and sixth overall. He was a mere .07 seconds off qualifying for the final in the 400 at the BSC Indoor Championships, running 49.96 and placing ninth overall. He ran the leadoff leg on the 4x400 relay that placed fourth at the Indoor Championships with a time of 3:18.33. Olsson also ran his personal best in the 200 at the UW Husky Classic, clocking a time of 22.53. He placed third in the 55 at the Candy Cane Invite, running a personal best of 6.65 in the final. Olsson was selected to the winter Big Sky All-Academic team. Outdoor: Redshirted.

2009-10: Indoor: Olsson ran a season best in the 400 at the UW Husky Classic, clocking a time of 51.14 to place 32nd overall. His season-best in the 200 was 23.57, which came at the WSU Cougar Invitational. Outdoor: He ran an outdoor personal best of 22.84 in the 200 at the WAR 3 to place ninth overall. Olsson ran his outdoor personal best of 50.49 in the 400 at the WSU Cougar Invitational, placing sixth. He was selected to the winter and spring Big Sky All-Academic teams.

High School: Olsson only competed in track during his senior year, but managed to cut nine seconds off his 400 time over the course of two months. He anchored Stanwood High School’s 4x400 relay team that won the Wesco District title in school record time. He also placed second in the 400 at the district meet and went on to the WIAA 4A State Championships, where he placed 13th overall. His personal-best times in high school were in the 100 (11.7), 200 (23.27) and 400 (50.86).
