2010-11: Indoor: Kassa competed in the heptathlon at the 2010 Candy Cane Invite, scoring 4459 points and placing fifth, with his highest scores coming in the 55 (6.63, 837), high jump (6-6 3/4, 803) and long jump (22-1 1/2, 753). The score put Kassa sixth all-time at Eastern. He injured his achilles at the Jackson Invitational, putting him out for the rest of the season. Outdoor: Redshirted.

High School: Kassa was no stranger to the State 2A Championships while running for Anacortes High School, qualifying all four years in his career. He made it to the podium in nine events and stood atop the podium twice his senior year, as he won the long jump (22-10) and the 200 (22.01). Kassa was named WIAA/The Seattle Times State Athlete of the Week for the week of May 17-22, and was the Skagit Valley Herald Track and Field Athlete of the Year for three-straight years.
