2012-13: Indoor: Cornish ran her season-best time of 58.60 in the 400 at the UW Husky Classic, where she placed 34th overall. She ran the third leg on the 4x400 relay team that ran a time of 3:50.12 at the Montana State Open to rank second in school history. That same relay team placed sixth at the BSC Indoor Championships in a time of 3:50.30. She also competed in the 55 at the Candy Cane Invite, placing fifth with a time of 7.50 in the finals. Outdoor: Cornish ran her season best of 58.33 in the 400 at the All-Idaho Cup, placing first in her heat and sixth overall. She ran on the 4x400 relay at the Al Manuel Invitational that recorded a time of 3:55.41 to rank 10th all-time at Eastern. Cornish was selected to the winter and spring Big Sky All-Academic teams.

High School: Cornish specialized in the 400 at Snohomish High School, qualifying for the state meet all four years. She placed second in the 400 at the 2012 WIAA 4A State Championships with a time of 57.34 after having placed eighth a year before and 13th in both of the previous two years. She also placed 10th in the 200 with a time of 26.06. She hit her personal-best time of 56.78 at the WESCO 4A Championships, a mark that would already rank her sixth all-time at Eastern. She also had personal bests in the 200 (25.70) and 100 (13.44).

Personal: Intends to major in Pre-Vet. Born 3/14/94 in Everett, Wash. Her parents are Jeff and Monica Cornish.
