2012-13: Indoor: Tauvela placed fourth at the BSC Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a toss of 56-8. She launched off a personal-best mark of 58-8 1/2 at the UW Invitational to rank third in school history. Tauvela also competed in the discus at the Vandal Indoor, getting of a throw of 133-7 to place fifth. Outdoor: She placed ninth in the hammer throw (165-0) and 13th in the discus (135-9) at the BSC Outdoor Championships. Tauvela hit her personal best of 167-3 in the hammer at the Beach Invitational, good for second in her flight and eighth overall. That mark ranks 10th all-time at Eastern. At the Vandal Jamboree, she recorded her season best of 141-10 in the discus to place fourth.

2011-12: Redshirted.

2010-11: Indoor: Tauvela placed fourth at the BSC Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a toss of 54-0. Her season best came at the Bronco Open, where she threw 54-6 to place sixth overall. That mark also put Tauvela fifth all-time at Eastern. Outdoor: She placed 12th in the hammer throw (152-6) and 16th in the discus (111-10) at the BSC Outdoor Championships. Her personal-best hammer throw of 163-0 at the UW Ken Shannon Invitational put her tenth all-time at Eastern. She had personal bests of 142-4 in the discus (Oregon Relays) and 38-11 in the shot put (Ken Shannon Invite).

2009-10: Indoor: Tauvela competed in the weight throw during her first season as an Eagle. Her best performance occurred at the Idaho Runner's Soul Open when she had a throw of 47-0 1/4 to place her seventh. Outdoor: Tauvela’s top mark in the hammer throw was at the WAR 3, where she threw 145-7 and placed 13th. Her top mark in the discus was 134-2 at the Idaho Vandal Jamboree.

High School: After placing 11th a year earlier, Tauvela won the discus at the 1A WIAA State Championships with a throw of 122-3. She also placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of 33-1. She broke school records in the discus and 4x100 relay. Her best marks were in the discus (123-5), shot put (33-11) and 100 (14.54).
