59 Selected to Fall All-Academic Team
A total of 59 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for fall quarter 2012. Of the total, 21 were from football, 18 were from women's soccer, nine from volleyball, six from women's cross country and five from men's cross country.

True freshman David Thor and redshirt freshman Berenice Penaloza of the Eastern Washington University men’s and women’s cross country teams will be competing at the NCAA West Regional Championships on Friday (Nov. 9) in Seattle, Wash. The races will be held at Jefferson Golf Course, with the women’s 6,000 meters starting at 12 p.m. and the men’s 10,000 following at 1:15.

Eastern Men Ninth, Women 11th at Big Sky Championships
The Eastern Washington University men’s cross country team placed ninth while the women placed 11th at the Big Sky Championships Saturday (Oct. 27) in highly-elevated Flagstaff, Ariz. The men scored 286 points, edging out Northern Colorado by a single point. The women accumulated 262 points, finishing just 15 points behind Montana.

The Eastern Washington University men’s and women’s cross country teams will be heading to Flagstaff, Ariz., for the Big Sky Cross Country Championships Saturday (Oct. 27) hosted by Northern Arizona University at Buffalo Park. The men’s 8,000 will start at 9 a.m. Pacific time, with the women’s 5,000 to follow at 10.

The Eastern Washington University men’s and women’s cross country teams capped off the regular season with a ninth place finish for the men and 10th place finish for the women Saturday (Oct. 13) at the Inland Empire Classic in Lewiston, Idaho. The men scored 241 points and the women scored 225.
