54 Selected to Fall All-Academic Team
A total of 54 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for fall quarter 2013. Of the total, 19 were from football, 17 were from women's soccer, nine from volleyball and nine six from women's cross country.

Eagles Close Season in Sacramento
The Eastern Washington University cross country team finished off the season Friday (Nov. 15) at the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento, Calif., with the men finishing 19th and the women placing 22nd.

Cross Country Heads to California for NCAA West Regionals
Coming off a fifth and seventh-place finish at the Big Sky Championships, the Eastern Washington University men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel south to Sacramento, Calif., for the NCAA West Regional Championships on Friday (Nov. 15). The meet will be hosted by Big Sky opponent Sacramento State and held at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.

Senior All-America football player Ronnie Hamlin and sophomore cross country standout Katie Mahoney have been selected by the Eastern Washington University Athletic Department as the November Scholar-Athletes of the Month.

EWU All-American Kari McKay on Big Sky’s All-Time Top 25 Women’s List
Kari McKay, an All-America distance runner for the Eagles in the early 1990’s, has been selected as one of the 25 greatest female athletes in Big Sky Conference history. Recipient Nos. 20 and 21 on the list were revealed Thursday (Oct. 31) by the league.

Eagles Set for Big Sky Championships in Bozeman
The Eastern Washington University men’s and women’s cross country teams will be making their way over to Bozeman, Mont., for the second time this season as they prepare to compete at the Big Sky Championships on Nov. 2. The meet, which is hosted by Montana State, will be held at Bridger Creek Golf Course.

Eastern Women Win Title at Inland Empire Invitational; EWU Men Place Third
With four of its runners finishing in the top six, the Eastern Washington University women’s cross country team won the team title among NCAA Division I schools at the Inland Empire Invitational Saturday (Oct. 19) in Lewiston, Idaho.

Competing against some of the top teams in the country, the Eastern Washington University women’s cross country team finished 12th in their division while the men’s team placed 27th at the Notre Dame Invitational Friday (Oct. 4) in South Bend, Ind.

The Eastern Washington University track and field and cross country programs will be hosting the EWU Terror Trot Saturday Oct. 26 in Cheney, Wash. The “haunted” 5K fun run/walk will begin at 9 am, starting at the corner of Elm and Washington Street and finishing on the Inferno at Roos Field.

The Eastern Washington University cross country teams kicked off the season at the Clash of the Inland Northwest Saturday (Aug. 31) at Mead High School in Spokane, Wash. Five Eastern runners placed in the top 20 individually including three for the women and two for the men.
