Eastern Games to Air on 700 ESPN The Ticket
Eastern Washington University and KXLY Radio Group have reached a radio agreement to have all home and away EWU football and men’s basketball games broadcast live on 700 ESPN The Ticket. The official announcement will be made today at 3:25 on the Patchin, Osso and the Wingman radio show.

44 Selected to Winter All-Academic Team
A total of 44 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for winter quarter 2010. Of the total, 16 were from the women's track and field team, 16 came from the men's squad, seven were from women's basketball and five men's basketball players were honored.

Rakim Brown, a stat-stuffing 6-foot-6 forward from Central High School in Fresno, Calif., has signed a letter of intent to attend Eastern Washington University and play for the Eagles, head coach Kirk Earlywine has announced.

Glen Dean is selected as the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year
Glen Dean is the epitome of the Eastern Washington University catchphrase, “Start Something Big.” The first-year Eagle men’s basketball player was honored Wednesday (March 3) as the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year as selected by the league’s nine head coaches. He is the fourth Eagle to earn that honor, joining Rodney Stuckey (2006), Matt Nelson (2004) and Marc Axton (2002) as the previous winners.

A home sweep last week over Montana State and Montana has helped teach a young Eastern Washington University men’s basketball team some lessons as the Eagles take to the road for a pair of critical Big Sky Conference games. Eagles Snap Montana’s Five-Game Winning Streak With 69-68 Victory
The Eagles are back in the hunt. The Eastern Washington University men’s basketball team made 12-of-19 three-point shots as it won its second-straight game with a 69-68 victory over red-hot Montana Sunday (Feb. 14) at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. The victory snapped a five-game winning streak for the Grizzlies and was the first time since Nov. 21 that the Eagles have won back-to-back games.

Idaho State had a 31-10 advantage in free throw attempts and went on to defeat Eastern Washington University 80-74 in a Big Sky Conference men’s basketball game Friday (Jan. 22) at Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho. The game featured eight ties and 14 lead changes until ISU took the lead for good with 6:22 to play.

The hole Eagles dug in the first half wasn’t quite as large, but they still couldn’t dig themselves out.
