Earlywine on Allen: “He’s very long, is a good athlete and can really shoot the ball. And despite his thin frame, he is wiry strong and competitive. We wanted to add one or two players to our team who are perimeter players with some size that can shoot. We really like the young guards we have, but they are all pretty small. Geoffrey fills that need.”

High School: Graduated from Pacific Hills High School in 2010. He averaged 13.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 1.6 blocked shots and 1.5 assists per game as a senior in leading the Bruins to a 20-12 record overall and 9-1 mark in the Southern Section. His season high for scoring was 25 points, and in another game finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and eight steals. Allen did not play when his future Eastern teammate Jaylen Henry had six points and 12 rebounds for Cheyenne High School in a 73-57 win against Pacific Hills in Las Vegas. As a junior at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, Allen averaged 10.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He had a high game early in the year of 22 points, and helped lead his school to a 20-4 finish and a quarterfinal appearance in the City Section Division I playoffs. As a sophomore, Crenshaw finished 17-7 overall and 8-4 league mark.
