Earlywine on Hankins: “Willie has played at a very high level. He backed up Avery Bradley, who was the No. 1 ranked high school player in the country at Findlay Prep, and Willie has a terrific basketball feel. He can pass the ball, score the ball and understands how to play. He’s a scorer who has a point guard’s mind -- I think that’s a terrific quality to have. He can help us at all three perimeter positions.”
High School: Graduated in 2010 after attending The College Preparatory School. Previously attended Findlay Prep (2008-09), Van Nuys High School (2007-08) and Sylmar High School (2006-07). His scored 16 points on two occasions, including versus St. Andrew’s when he added three steals and three rebounds in an 81-50 win. He averaged 11.9 points and 1.0 steals per game as a sophomore to help Van Nuys finish 13-15 overall and 8-2 in league games.
