HS: Graduated from Walla Walla HS in 2009. As a senior he rushed 189 times for 1,256 yards and 20 touchdowns, with a total of 1,465 all-purpose yards. He earned first team All-Big 9 Conference honors and All-Area accolades from the Tri-City Herald. As a junior he was a second team All-Big 9 running back and earned honorable mention as a sophomore. He lettered three times in football, basketball and track and field.
