2010: Listed as a starter at wide receiver on EWU’s preseason depth chart.
2009: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. A true freshman, he saw action in nine games, including five as a starter, as he saw significant action when returning All-American Aaron Boyce suffered a season-ending Achilles injury against Montana (10/17/09). Kaufman made his starting debut on offense one week later against Montana State (10/24/09), and all but one of his 23 catches for the year came in EWU’s last six games. He finished with a season-high six catches for 70 yards and his first career touchdown on a 20-yard reception against Stephen F. Austin (11/28/09) in the FCS Playoffs. He had four catches for 64 yards one game earlier in EWU’s playoff-clinching victory over Northern Arizona (11/21/09).
HS: Graduated from Heritage HS in 2009. He missed his senior season with a knee injury suffered before the 2008 season even began. He earned honorable mention All-State honors as a junior and twice was selected to the All-Continental League team. He caught a total of 97 passes for 1,918 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore and junior. Just six months after his injury, he returned to play basketball as a senior.
