2010: Listed as a reserve at “boundary” cornerback on EWU’s preseason depth chart.

2009: Redshirted.

HS: Named by the Seattle Times as a “White Chip” selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Was selected by the Tacoma News Tribune to its All-Area team as a running back. Baines also earned first team All-Narrows League honors as a senior. In addition, he was a member of Ron Siegel’s 31-member preseason All-State squad. He started the 2008 season against Shelton with 421 rushing yards -- the sixth-highest single game total in state history -- and five touchdowns. He finished the year with 1,430 yards and 14 touchdowns on 199 carries (7.2 per carry). As a junior, he accounted for 2,600 yards and 25 touchdowns and was named the Narrows League Bay Division Offensive MVP. Mt. Tahoma was 4-6 his senior season and 3-7 in 2007. His EWU teammates Will Edge (’06) and Gabriel Jackson (’06) also attended Mount Tahoma.
