Northern Quest is located at 100 N. Hayford Road in Airway Heights. From downtown Spokane, take exit 277 off I-90 and follow Highway 2 for 4.4 miles, then turn right on Hayford Road and follow for 1.0 miles. From Cheney, take exit 272 off I-90 and follow WA-902 toward Medical Lake for just 0.3 miles. Take a right on Geiger Blvd., followed by a quick left on Hayford Road and follow for 4.4 miles.
Note: Because of construction on Hayford Road until October, there is a detour via McFarlane Road to Garfield Road (west of Hayford) to Highway 2. An alternate route from Cheney prior to the conclusion of construction is to take the Medical Lake-Four Lakes road (off Highway 904 in Four Lakes) to Craig Road, and then take a right on Highway 2, followed by a left on Hayford Road.
The first game broadcast featuring Weir and Sorensen will be Thursday, Sept. 2 from Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nev., where the Eagles will play their opener against the Nevada Wolf Pack. The pre-game show will begin at about 5:30 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
Five Players Selected as Co-Captains . . .
In voting conducted my members of this year’s squad, five players have been selected as EWU’s co-captains for the 2010 season. Senior captains on defense include senior tackle Tyler Jolley and linebacker J.C. Sherritt, who was also a captain in 2009. The players selected on offense were senior tight end Matt Martin, senior offensive guard Nikolai Myers and junior quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell.
Three of the captains are local products who graduated from state of Washington high schools in 2006 -- Jolley from Spokane’s East Valley High School, Sherritt from Pullman HS and Martin from La Crosse-Washtucna HS. Myers is a 2006 graduate of Ingraham High School in Seattle, and Mitchell is a transfer from Southern Methodist University who graduated in 2008 from Katy, Texas, High School.
