2011: Listed as a reserve at quarterback on preseason depth chart. In four spring scrimmages, he completed 21-of-27 passes (78 percent) for 246 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He had a 70-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Johnson in the Red-White Spring Game.

2010: Saw action in three games for the Eagles, including a start versus Central Washington (9/11/10) when he finished 3-of-4 for 17 yards. He completed 6-of-8 passes for the season, and 60 of his 97 yards came on a 70-yard touchdown pass to tight end Zack Gehring versus Portland State (10/30/10). That long pass, which ranks as the 39th-longest pass play in school history, helped him finish the season with a 218.1 passing efficiency rating. Gauthier completed 23-of-44 passes (52.2 percent) for 224 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in four spring scrimmages.

2009: Redshirted.

JC: Played at Bakersfield College before transferring to EWU. As a sophomore, he completed 46-of-93 passes for 607 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions.

HS: Graduated from Saugus HS in 2007. As a senior he passed for 2,010 yards, completing 137-of-233 passes (58 percent) with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 500 yards and a pair of scores. His best performance as a senior was against Chino High School when he completed 18-of-24 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 36 rushing yards to earn earning Santa Clarita Player of the Week honors. He led the Centurions to the second round of the CIF Playoffs. He was named team offensive MVP, was a first-team All-Foothill League selection and was also named to the All-Santa Clarita Valley team as an all purpose player along with former California running back and current New England Patriot Shane Vereen.
