2012: Listed as a backup at boundary cornerback on preseason depth chart.

2011: Schuetzle saw significant action on special teams, and finished the year with 11 tackles. He had three against Cal Poly (11/12/11) in EWU’s 53-51 triple-overtime victory. In Eastern’s 45-14 victory over Idaho State (11/19/11), Schuetzle recovered a muffed kickoff return that led to a field goal and helped EWU take the lead for good at 17-14.

2010: Played in 14 games on special teams and as a backup cornerback. He had a pair of tackles versus Northern Arizona (10/9/10), as well as versus North Dakota State (12/11/10) in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship Subdivision Playoffs. He also recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter of a first-round playoff game versus Southeast Missouri State (12/4/10), leading to the final touchdown of the day in EWU’s 37-17 win. He was EWU’s special teams player of the week against SEMO.

2009: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Shadle Park HS in 2009. Named by the Seattle Times as a “White Chip” selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Schuetzle was a second team All-Greater Spokane League selection as both a wide receiver and defensive back for Shadle and was a three-sport standout for the Highlanders. He also earned team captain and MVP awards as Shadle Park won three games in both his junior and senior seasons. He also was an All-Greater Spokane League performer and state participant in track and field and wrestling.

Personal: Management major. Born 1/4/91 in Louisville, Ky. Name is pronounced “shoots-lee.”
