2012: Listed as a reserve at tight end on preseason depth chart. In four spring scrimmages, he caught five passes for 43 yards.

2011: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Bella Vista HS in 2011. He earned first team All-Capital Valley Conference honors as a senior tight end. He caught 36 passes for 494 yards (13.7 per reception) for three touchdowns and a long of 56 yards as a senior tight end. He also had 37 tackles, three forced fumbles, two passes broken up and an interception as a defensive end. As a junior, he caught 20 passes for 359 yards (18.0 per catch) with two touchdowns and a long play of 63 yards. He helped his team finish the year 7-4. Lettered in football, basketball and track in high school.
