Career: Morris, the brother of Seattle Seahawks running back Maurice Morris, missed 12 of a possible 23 games in his first two seasons as an Eagle with a knee injury as well as a painful Lisfranc foot sprain. However, he was at full strength again in 2007 after bio-mechanics rehabilitation to help the foot become flexible again and distribute weight evenly to the metatarsals.

2008: Listed as a starter at running back on EWU's preseason depth chart.

2007: Earned honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference honors. Started 10 games at running back, including EWU's last five games of the season. He had three 100-yard performances during the season, including a season-high of 148 in EWU's opener against Montana-Western (8/31/07). Of his season total of 930 yards and 12 touchdowns rushing, 512 yards and eight touchdowns came in Eastern's last six games. He had 130 yards and four touchdowns in EWU's 44-15 victory over McNeese State in the first round of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs. Morris finished the season ranked 71st in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (eighth in the Big Sky) in rushing with an average of 71.5 yards per game. He was also 99th in FCS (seventh in the BSC) in scoring with an average of 6.0 points per game. He also added a receiving touchdown to finish with 13 scores to rank 11th in school history. Morris was the team's player of the week against Montana State (10/13/07) when he had 59 yards rushing and a touchdown. He missed spring practices because of a foot injury originally suffered in the 2006 season.

2006: Hampered by a foot injury, he played in just two games. The only start of the season came against Montana (10/7/06). All 11 of his carries for the season, good for 23 yards, came in that game.

2005: Started one game at running back, but served as a valuable complement to starter Ryan Cole. His lone start came against Idaho State (9/24/05) when he finished with 47 yards on seven carries. One game earlier against Western Oregon (9/17/05), he rushed for a career-high 58 yards on 11 carries. He missed three games and was limited in several others with a knee injury suffered at Northern Arizona (10/8/05). He had 48 yards and a touchdown in that game before he was injured, and it wasn't until the end of the season when he regained his form. He led the Eagles with 51 yards on 16 carries versus Northern Iowa (11/26/05).

2004: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Marist HS in 2004. He earned first team All-State honors from the Oregonian as both a running back and defensive back, as well as first team All-Sky-Em League honors on both sides of the ball. Was a nominee for the Old Spice Red Zone Player of the Year Award. He finished his senior season with 1,827 yards on 166 carries (11.0 per carry) and scored 25 touchdowns. Including playoff games, he finished with 2,136 yards and 27 scores. He led the top-ranked Spartans to a perfect 13-0 record and the State 3A title in Oregon with a 47-14 victory over Wilsonville in the championship game. As a junior, he earned All-State honors as both a running back (second team) and defensive back (third team), and was a two-way all-league selection.

Personal: Born 10/23/85 in Chester, S.C. He will turn 23 the day after Eastern plays Weber State. His full name is Utrillo La'Dale Morris. His brother Maurice is a running back for the Seattle Seahawks after a stellar career at the University of Oregon. Interdisciplinary studies major.
