2009: Listed as a reserve at left cornerback on EWU's preseason depth chart. Moved back to defense in the spring.

2008: Did not start, but played in all 11 games as a backup wide receiver and special teams player. Moved to wide receiver from the secondary in the spring.

2007: Was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII first team as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He lettered as a backup cornerback and special teams player. He had three tackles in games against Montana-Western (8/31/07) and Brigham Young (10/20/07).

2006: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Lettered as a backup cornerback and special teams player. He had three tackles in three different games, including his Eagle debut against Oregon State (8/31/06).

2005: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Cheney HS in 2005. He received honorable mention 3A All-State honors as an all-purpose back from Associated Press as selected by sportswriters and broadcasters. Selected to play in the 4A/3A East-West All-State Game. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 recruits in the state of Washington. Was a first team All-Greater Spokane League selection as an all-purpose back on offense. He rushed for 1,232 yards and 16 touchdowns to lead the GSL in rushing and rank fifth in total offense. He also scored on a kickoff return and made 18-of-20 extra points to lead the league in scoring with 120 points. Cheney finished the season 3-6. As a junior, he made 4-of-5 field goals. He also competed in basketball and track and field at Cheney, and was captain of both squads.
