2009-10: Played in almost every position on the team, including eight appearances at the No. 1 singles spot. Finished his sophomore season with an 8-13 overall record in both singles and doubles matches. Beat Weber State’s Spencer Merchant (6-0, 1-6, 6-1) to help Eastern earn a 5-2 victory over the Bearcats, who were ranked No. 1 in the conference at the time. Won four BSC doubles competitions, three of which were with freshman teammate Fernando Mussolini.
2008-09: Sanchez had a successful 2008-09 season as a true freshman. He went 13-2 in singles matches, including a perfect 6-0 in Big Sky play, and was a combined 7-9 in doubles matches with three different partners.
