2006-07: In the fall, Cruzat went 1-3 in singles play, defeating Whitman's Nadeem Kassam, 6-2, 6-2, in his first match of the year. He fell in his only doubles contest. 2005-06: Cruzat helped the Eagles defeat Idaho for the first time in 22 meetings, as he and Patrick Millican earned an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles to clinch the doubles point. He had an impressive 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles against perennial Big Sky Conference power Sacramento State in his first singles match of the spring season. Cruzat rallied twice for singles wins against local rival Gonzaga. At home, he won, 3-6, 6-3, (10-4), and in Spokane, the freshman prevailed, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. Cruzat developed his skills against some of the best competition at the Red Lion Invitational in October, beating Gonzaga's Marco Pineda 4-6, 6-1, (10-8). As a doubles partner with teammate Jon Davis, Cruzat beat Gonzaga's Cooper Fratt/Robert Penny at the invitational by a score of 9-8 (7-5).
