Chad Chambers Qualifies for NCAA West Regional Championships

Senior Chad Chambers of the Eastern Washington University men's track and field team had a personal best high jump of 6-10 3/4 at the Vandal Jamboree (May 4-5) in Moscow, Idaho.

His high jump qualifies him for the NCAA West Regional Championships and now ranks him seventh in school history.

Junior Mike Uhlenkott and freshman Gabe Chavez each had a personal best of 15-3 in the pole vault, placing third and fourth, respectively.

At the Ken Shannon Invitational (May 4) in Seattle, Wash., Curtis Suver ran a personal best in the 1,500 with a time of 3:48.56, to rank him third all-time. His previous best mark came earlier this season with a time of 3:51.44 at the Duane Hartman Invitational.

Eastern will head to the Big Sky Outdoor Conference Championships in Pocatello, Idaho (May 9-12). A total of 23 Big Sky qualifying marks have been met by Eastern student-athletes.
