Head Coach Wendy Schuller: "Courtney has been a pleasant surprise. She really worked hard this summer to get stronger in her upper body - for a post player that's a big deal because it's such a physical sport. She comes from a very good high school program and is fundamentally sound. She shoots it well and has a nice touch inside on the block. She will battle in the paint and is going to be a very good player for us. She is in a great position with Nicole and Piper to mentor her. She will be able to grow into the position and will get plenty of opportunities to play and grow. Both of our young post players have the chance to grow under the tutelage of two experienced players. I expect that Courtney and Carrie Ojeda will be able to carry the torch for us in the paint and continue our tradition of all-conference level post players."
