Head Coach Wendy Schuller: "Cooper is another one of our players who logged significant minutes for us as a freshman last year. She played almost 18 minutes a game, splitting time with Jessica Huntington at the point. Chene really grew up a lot over the course of the year and got better and better as the season went on. In the off-season she had a great summer. We really needed her to get stronger and improve her shooting range and she did both of those things. She's handling the ball well, is really making things happen on the defensive end and plays extremely hard. I'm just very pleased with Coop and where she is. As she continues to grow I think her decision-making will get better and better. I think she feels more comfortable now than a year ago in terms of just understanding what I want and what we are trying to do as a team. You can see that on the floor because she's leading and talking to people. Between her and Jess we are going to get some great point guard play. I think it's going to be the best it has been in a long, long time. She makes us go on both ends. As coaches we feel very, very good about our point guard play."
