44 Selected to Winter All-Academic Team
A total of 44 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for winter quarter 2010. Of the total, 16 were from the women's track and field team, 16 came from the men's squad, seven were from women's basketball and five men's basketball players were honored.

Evans Named Big Sky Player of the Week
Junior guard Kyla Evans of the Eastern Washington University women’s basketball team has been named the Big Sky Player of the Week for games played the week of Jan. 18-24. For the weekend she averaged 17.5 points per game while making .526 from the field, .467 from behind the three-point arc and was perfect from the free throw line.

The Anteaters went to the free-throw line 55 times in the game, making 45 of them – including 16 from forward Mikah Maly-Karros. Eastern made it to the line 25 times, making 17 of them.

The Eastern Washington University women’s basketball team reached the century mark in a 101-49 exhibition win over Central Washington on Tuesday evening. The last time EWU reached 100 or more points in a regular-season game came in a 103-102 overtime loss to Gonzaga on Dec. 9, 2006.
