2005-06: Allen averaged 3.6 points, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game as a freshman. In the squad's first home game of the season, a 63-53 win over Saint Mary's, she would set a season high in points and lead the team in scoring with 10 tallies. Allen also contributed four assists and three steals. In EWU's 69-61 defeat of Cal State Northridge, she tallied six points and four assists. A dramatic steal with two seconds left of EWU's exciting 65-63 win over Idaho sealed the Eagles' victory. In that contest, she tied for her second-highest output of the season by tallying nine points and set a personal season mark with five rebounds. Against the Vandals and in a 57-54 win over Washington State four days later, she saw her highest number of playing minutes of the campaign (32). Allen contributed a season-high four steals in a 65-55 loss at Weber State. Personal: The 5-foot-6 point guard was the 2004-05 Eastern League MVP. She averaged 20 points, four rebounds, six assists and five steals per game at Serra High School in San Diego, Calif. Allen was named All-California Interscholastic Federation in the San Diego section for three consecutive years. A four-year varsity player at SHS, she was also named MVP of the Kiwanis Tournament in 2003 and 2004. She was voted best defensive player on her team and was also twice named as the San Diego County player of the week. Allen is the daughter of Sharon Phynee Gamble.
