Tom Webb was promoted to associate head coach on July 25, 2007, after serving the Eagles as assistant coach for the past three campaigns. He oversees the EWU post players and handles the recruiting coordination and scouting and assists in all facets of the basketball program. In his time at Eastern, the Eagles have had four post players attain All-Big Sky Conference accolades (Sydney Benson, Jamie Chicane, Felice Moore and Julie Page) and one who is currently playing professionally in Europe (Page). Webb joined the Eagles in time for the 2004-05 season after an impressive four-year head coaching stint at Northwest College in Powell, Wyo. The Trappers went 94-32 under his tutelage, posting the most wins in school history (26) in back-to-back seasons. While at the school, Webb garnered two Wyoming Community College Athletic Conference (WCCAC) Coach of the Year awards, a pair of WCCAC championships and a 2003 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) academic championship. Over the course of his career there, he coached two Kodak All-Americans, a pair of NJCAA All-Americans and a dozen Academic All-Americans. Webb has coached alongside a pair of Hall of Fame coaches in Don Meyer of Northern State (S.D.) and Northwest College's Ken Rochlitz. Those two coaches have a combined career record of 1,387-626, good for a .689 winning percentage. In fact, when the records of every head coach he has worked for is added up, it comes to an incredible 2,115-1,100 record and a .658 winning percentage. Webb earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1998 from Southwest Minnesota State before completing a master's degree in 1999 in teaching and learning at Northern State. He is engaged to be married to Gina Gonnella of Spokane, Wash., on June 27, 2008, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
