Members of the Eastern Washington University women's basketball team used a balmy Friday afternoon recently to help build houses as part of Habitat for Humanity's Blitz Build 2008. Eagle players painted, built windows, worked with shingles and operated saws in helping volunteers build home for two families.
Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity is one of several activities the team engages in annually. The Eagles also volunteered at the U.S. Postal Service Food Drive and give free basketball clinics. Individual players and small groups of players also volunteer at a variety of events.
