The Eastern Washington University athletics department has become TicketsWest's first Inland Northwest client to have clickable seating charts for its basketball and volleyball contests. In the near future, this feature will also allow fans to see views from each seating location.
"This achievement culminates a joint effort of EWU athletics and TicketsWest," athletics director Bill Chaves said. "Both entities have been working together over the past three months to improve our ability to ease the purchasing process for our fans."
No other professional athletics team or collegiate athletics department located in the Inland Northwest and associated with TicketsWest provides this feature. The feature is now available for those purchasing men's basketball tickets and will be added to women's basketball, volleyball and football contests shortly.
"Offering fans an opportunity to see where they are sitting will help us offer the most engaging experience for our ticket purchasers," ticket manager Troy Kirby said.
Jack Lucas, the president of TicketsWest, stated, "We are excited to bring this type of technology to EWU athletics and look forward to our continued business partnership. This technology will provide the customer with a unique ticket-buying experience."
Tickets are already going fast.
"Season and partial plans for the 2008-09 men's basketball season have been phenomenal, and the reserved section at court level has been sold out," Kirby said. "And there are still scattered seating options at the two best levels (priority and premiere chairbacks at the mezzanine level)."
