Eagle Women's Basketball Inks Another Player

Piper, a 6-0 forward, was named all-league as a junior, averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds per game. The Roseburg High School player also played for the Oregon Selects summer team. Piper succeeds on the soccer field, as well, earning league MVP honors her junior campaign. The squad recently finished off an impressive showing in the state tournament, advancing to the round of 16.
"I am excited to have a player of Julie's physical ability in our program," Schuller said. "She is gifted in her athleticism and in her ability to learn things quickly. She should be a special player for the Eagles.
"This class is a reflection of the hard work and energy my staff, especially my recruiting coordinator Tom Webb, puts forth for this program."
The 2006-07 version of the Eagles are 1-0 and play at UC Irvine at 7 p.m. on Monday.
