54 Selected to Spring All-Academic Team
A total of 54 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for spring quarter 2010. Of the total, 20 were from the men's track and field team, 18 came from the women's squad, seven from men's tennis, five from women's golf and four from women's tennis.

In the first of two-straight tournaments at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz., the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team finished 21st out of 23 teams at the University of Wyoming Cowgirl Classic which concluded Tuesday (April 6).

Eagles Play Back-to-Back Tournaments in Chandler, Ariz.
From April 5 to April 21, the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz., will be a home away from home for the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team. The Eagles will play their final two tournaments of the 2009-10 season at that location, starting with next week’s University of Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday and Tuesday (April 5-6).

Eagles Defeat Cal State Bakersfield in Match Play Tournament
The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team defeated Cal State Bakersfield and lost to Cal Poly and Portland at the Cal Poly/Lamkin Grip Women’s Match Play Championship that concluded Friday (March 26) at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif.

Eagles Continue Season at Tourney With a Twist
Although the ultimate goal is to get the ball in the cup, there will be an unusual twist to the team competition this week for the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team as it competes in the inaugural Lamkin Grip Match Play Championship Thursday (March 25) and Friday (March 26) at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif.

Junior Kellie Holmstedt was the top Eastern Washington University finisher as the spring portion of the 2009-10 season began Monday and Tuesday (March 1-2) in the Fresno State Lexus Classic at the Copper River Country Club in Fresno, Calif.

Golf Team Begins Spring Portion of 2009-10 Schedule
There’s nothing like great winter weather and video to aid in preparation. The youthful Eastern Washington University golf team has utilized the mild winter thus far to gain a great deal of additional education and experience as they prepare for EWU’s final four tournaments of the 2009-10 season.

The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team placed 15th at the Lamkin Grip/Cal Poly Invitational in its final tournament of the fall season. The two-day event, hosted by Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif., wrapped up on Monday.

The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team played its third tournament of the 2009-10 season from Monday-Tuesday, and its third in a 23-day span, at the Heather Farr/CU Memorial in Erie, Colo. Colorado National Golf Club played host to the event.
