Seniors Lead Eagles to Sixth-Place Finish at Big Sky Championship
The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team sent off its two seniors in excellent fashion, shooting their lowest score of the season Tuesday (April 23) in the final round of the 2013 Big Sky Championship in Chandler, Ariz., at Ocotillo Resort to place sixth out of the 11 conference teams.

The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team had a solid second round at the 2013 Big Sky Championship Monday (April 22) in Chandler, Ariz., but unfortunately multiple teams scored lower on the day, moving the Eagles down into seventh place with a round to play.

The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team got off to a hot start to begin the 2013 Big Sky Golf Championship Sunday (April 21), shooting consistent individually and tallying their lowest scoring round of the season to sit tied for fourth with two rounds to play at Ocotillo Resort in Chandler, Ariz.

Eastern Travels Back to Ocotillo Resort for 2013 Big Sky Championship
As the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team heads back to Chandler, Ariz., for the 2013 Big Sky Conference Golf Championship on Sunday-Tuesday (April 21-23), the Eagles are looking to improve on their most recent finishes at the competition.

Borja Has Top-15 Individual Finish, but Team Ends Up 15th out of 19 at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic
After three days and 54 holes at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz., the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team ended up 15th at the 2013 Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. The Eagles shot 317 in the third round to finish with a cumulative team effort of 963 (325-321-317).

Eagles Drop to 12th on Day Two of Cowgirl Classic
On day two of the 2013 Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team was able to shave four strokes off its first-round effort, but unfortunately, every other team in the field saw more significant improvement.

Eagles in a Four-Way Tie for Seventh after Day One of Cowgirl Classic
The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team was off to a great start in the first round of the 2013 Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Chandler, Ariz., but the Eagles gave up 12 strokes on the final three holes to end the first day in a four-way tie for seventh place.

Eagles Finish Second out of 13 Teams at Jackrabbit Invitational
The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team saw numerous highlights from the Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev., such as a 71 second-round score by freshman Marissa Borja and an eagle by senior Morgan Lee in the third round, but most notably, the team finished second in the tournament Tuesday (Mar. 12) with their best three-round score of the season.

Led By Two Top 10 Finishes for Borja and Lee, Eastern Takes Eighth out 21 Teams at Red Rocks Invitational
The Eastern Washington University women’s golf team had a lot to celebrate during its trip to Sedona, Ariz., including a hole-in-one during the practice round for freshman Marissa Borja, and an eagle on a par 4 in the second round for senior Jayme Carbon. But in the end, it was the solid, consistent play of Borja and senior Morgan Lee that led the Eagles to their best finish of the 2012-13 season.

With a strong mix of veterans and some new young talent, the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team will kick off its 2012-13 season at the Oregon State Invitational in Corvallis, Ore. The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins Monday (Sept. 17) with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., and concludes Tuesday (Sept. 18).

A total of 36 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for the 2012 spring quarter. Of the total, 14 were from the women's outdoor track and field team, 13 from the men's outdoor squad, four from men's tennis, three from women's golf and two from women's tennis.

Howe Signs Two More High School Standouts to National Letters of Intent
With a few strokes of a pen, the Eastern Washington University women’s golf team has nearly doubled its roster. Head coach Brenda Howe recently announced the final two additions to her 2012 recruiting class, which brings her roster numbers for next season from four to seven. oining Moscow native Taylor Anderson, who signed a National Letter of Intent with EWU during the fall, is Maddie Dodge out of Post Falls, Idaho, and Marissa Borja from Spring Valley, Calif.
