Eastern Washington University sophomore Chloe Nelson finished with a one-under-par total of 215 to finish third individually Tuesday (Sept. 12) at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo.
Eastern finished sixth as a team as the Eagles placed ahead of five other Big Sky Conference schools taking part. Eastern's three-round total of 896 was 15 strokes better than 10th-place finisher Montana.
Nelson, a 2005 graduate of Silverado High School in Las Vegas, Nev., had rounds of 70, 71 and 74 as she placed third for the second-straight tournament. As a freshman last spring, she placed third at the Big Sky Conference Championships.
The tournament took place at the par-72 Ptarmigan Country Club.
Eastern returns to action Sept. 18-19 at the Salbasgeon Suites Invitational in Corvallis, Ore.
