The Eagles had a 307 on the first day, but had a 314 on Tuesday to fall 18 strokes behind leader Montana with just Wednesday's round left to play. Northern Arizona improved by 12 strokes to pull within a stroke of the Grizzlies in the race for the conference title.

Wednesday's final round begins at 7 a.m. Montana will be seeking its first women's golf championship. Northern Arizona has won five, but hasn't claimed the championship since 2002. Portland State, the three-time defending champion, is currently third, 10 strokes behind Montana.
