2008: Cheney had 11 starts in 2008, the most of her career, and saw action in 16 contests. She had an impressive bicycle kick assist on a goal at Washington State to cut WSU’s advantage to 2-1 in a game the Cougars would win 3-1. That score did end Washington State’s home shutout streak at 397:57, however.
2007: Cheney played in 17 contests, started three, and had a goal and an assist. She also contributed six shots. For her impressive play, she was named the team’s Most Improved Player for 2007.
2006: She played in 13 games and had an assist.
High School: Cheney earned four letters as a soccer player at Tahoma High School. Her senior season, she helped lead THS to a 4A state title, its first in four years. She also won a state title with the FC Marauders in 2003 and participated on the Tahoma track and field team. Her parents are Mark Cheney and Debra Teter and she is majoring in recreation management.
