Lyndsey Martin
Year: Sr.
Hometown: Kennewick, Wash.
High School: Kamiakin HS '07
Position: D
Experience: 2L

2009: Started eight of the 13 games in which she played in during the 2009 campaign. Was part of Eastern’s starting lineup for three conference victories, all of which were shutouts. Martin recorded her first-career assist in EWU’s final regular-season game against Montana, when she found Brittany Doran open 20 yards outside the box. With that 1-0 victory over the Griz, Eastern clinched a spot in the BSC tournament semifinals for the first time in four years.

2008: After playing solid defense throughout the season, helping the Eagles to a pair of shutouts, Martin earned All-Big Sky honorable mention accolades. Her showing in the classroom was top notch as well, as she also attained Big Sky All-Academic honors. On the field, she scored the first goal of her Eagle career at Portland State on Oct. 19. Her tally came in the 68th minute of that contest, as she converted a corner kick from Abby Jensen. Martin was very accurate in 2008, as that score came on her only shot on goal that season.

2007: Martin had five appearances for the Eagles and contributed two shots.

High School: As a member of the Kamiakin High School squad, Martin earned first team All-State honors her senior season after attaining second team accolades the year before. She also helped lead the KHS squad to a fourth-place finish at state at the 3A level and was named first team All-Big 9 Conference for the third straight season. Martin played all four years for the varsity soccer squad, and she also earned letters in basketball and softball during her time there.
