Listed at No. 6 overall, Brannan started and played in 15 matches last season for the Eagles, anchoring a back line that notched three shutouts on the year and limited opponents to a single goal in seven other outings. She logged 1,320 total minutes in 2011 before breaking her leg five minutes into Eastern's match versus Montana (Oct. 12).
Coming in at No. 11, Black paced the Eagles with eight goals last season, finishing the year with 18 points en route to earning All-Big Sky Second Team honors. She broke the school's single-season record with four game-winning goals and became just the second player in program history to notch a hat trick.
Both Brannan and Black were named to the College Sports Madness Preseason All-Big Sky First Team earlier this month. Eastern opens its 2013 campaign at home against Gonzaga on Friday, Aug. 23, at 4 p.m.
