Cheney, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's soccer program will give prospective high school-age female players one more chance for an exclusive look into the Eagles' program this year with its Fall ID Camp, set for Saturday, Oct. 11.
The registration deadline for the Fall ID camp is Wednesday, Oct. 8, with space limited to the first 50 applicants.
The Fall ID Camp provides an intimate setting for aspiring female prep soccer players age 15-18 with the purpose of giving participants an insight into the college experience while improving specific soccer skills. Campers will meet current EWU women's soccer players, who will also give insight into their experiences as student-athletes.
Check-in for the Fall ID Camp on Saturday, Oct. 11, starts at 9:00 a.m. and will begin with a student-athlete discussion led by Athletic Academic Coordinator Jim Fitzgerald. After the discussion, campers will participate in a training session led by the EWU Women's Soccer coaching staff and other collegiate coaches from 10 a.m. to noon at the EWU Soccer Field on the Eastern Washington University campus. Campers will then play 11v11 games against each other for two hours beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The camp also includes a campus tour and lunch in one of the campus dining facilities. The camp will conclude at 4:00 p.m.
Campers are encouraged to attend Eastern's home match versus Idaho on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m.
To register for the Fall ID Camp, interested applicants should visit the EWU Soccer Camp Website at www.ewusoccercamps.com. The camp is $125 to register and all payment can be done on the camp website.
