2007: Blessard was named the Big Sky Conference Top Newcomer for 2007. She also earned Big Sky Honorable Mention and All-Academic honors that year. She set a school record with a goals against average of 0.87, as well. Her goals against average was the third-best in the Big Sky in 2007, as was her save percentage (85.0 percent). Blessard also averaged 4.25 saves per game, the eighth-best average among league players. Her shutouts per game average of 0.25 was the fifth-best in the conference. She was named Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 29 after accumulating 15 saves in contests with Weber State and Idaho State on Oct. 25 and 28, respectively. She also had her first collegiate shutout in a 1-0 victory over the ISU Bengals.
High School: Blessard played on the varsity squad at Mount Si High School all four years she was at the school. Her junior and senior seasons, she helped lead the team to the 3A state tournament for the first time in 10 years. Her junior year saw the team advance to the quarterfinal round. As a senior, she earned first team All-Kingco 3A honors. Her parents are Richard Blessard and Lisa Phillips, and she is majoring in visual communication design.
