The Eastern Washington University women’s soccer team was able to keep Missouri, a squad ranked 22nd nationally by Top Drawer Soccer, shooting blanks throughout the first half and the initial 10 minutes of the second stanza.
At that point, however, the Tigers (2-2-0) pulled away to win 3-0 in a game played in Berkeley, Calif., on Sunday morning (Sept. 7). The Missouri goals came in the 56th, 64th and 77th minutes.
Chelsey Hannesson had two shots, both on frame, for the Eagles to lead Eastern (0-4-1) in that category.
Next up for Eastern Washington is the SDSU Invitational, where the Eagles will play South Dakota State (2-2-0) at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday (Sept. 12) before taking on North Dakota State (2-2-0) at 8 a.m. next Sunday.
