Shaylee Stegen scored off an assist by Molli Neilson in the 89th minute for Weber State, as the Wildcats beat the Eastern Washington University soccer team 1-0 Thursday (Oct. 19) in Cheney, Wash.

The loss is the fourth in a row for the Eagles and now drops them to 5-10-1 overall and 1-4 in the Big Sky Conference.

Eastern was out-shot by Weber State 14-4 in the first half and 21-8 for the match. Brittany Sparks led the Eagles with two shots and Tiera Como recorded 16 saves.

There are only two games remaining in the BSC for Eastern. First, the Eagles will travel to Idaho State on Sunday (Oct. 22) to play at noon in Pocatello, Idaho. Eastern will then return home to face Montana Sunday (Oct. 29) at 1:00 p.m. in Cheney, Wash at the Sports and Recreation Center.
