Senior Breaks School Record in Career Shots
Oct. 25, 2007
Senior Cyeeta Mott broke the school career record in shots, as the visiting Eagles lost to Weber State University 1-0 in double overtime Thursday (Oct. 25).
Mott broke the school record of 122 shots held by Beth Russell (2002-05). With five tonight, she now has tallied a total of 125 shots.
Mott also holds records in career goals of 12, previously held by Jennie Summers (2002-05) at 11. She also holds the record for single-season shots with 48. Beth Russell held the record in 2004 with 39.
Mott is tied with the school record in single-season points with 10. She is tied with Traci Jellison (2002) and Liz Hail (2001). She also is just one goal away from tying the school record in single-season goals. Traci Jellison (2002) and Liz Hail (2001) hold that record with five goals apiece.
Freshman Jessica Blessard had a total of 11 saves and allowed only one goal to go by her in the 109th minute from a corner by Shaylee Hyde to Teresa Holt with a header. Blessard has a total of 24 saves in six games.
The Eagles (6-8-0, 1-4-0) will play at home Sunday (Oct. 28) against Idaho State (6-6-2, 2-1-1 BSC). Game time is 1 p.m.
